Chicken Shawarma

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 8 oz chicken breasts pounded flat
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Celtic sea salt, to taste
  • 1 cup onion sliced
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • olive or coconut oil cooking spray

Yogurt Sauce

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Celtic sea salt
  • 1/4 cup cucumber grated
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Season chicken breasts with dry spices. (Refrigerate overnight for best flavor.)
  • Spritz a skillet with cooking spray and add chicken and onions. Cook on medium-low until chicken is cooked through, then add lemon juice.
  • Mix together all yogurt sauce ingredients and serve with chicken.

Notes

1 serving = 4 oz protein
Serve in lettuce wraps, over lettuce leaves, with sliced cucumbers/tomatoes or Cauliflower Rice
